chopping the wires to shorten them so wires are not going everywhere
soldering and heatshrinking the wires
small power supply plug to motherboard with green looming
ditto - notice the 3 RAM chips (1.5G) They run interleaved with each other for extra speed
20 wires to main power supply plug so didn't cut and solder this one
Lots of effort getting the looming on over the plug mm by mm
fixing the looming to the power suppply to keep it out of the way
main power supply looming - doesn't get in the way of air flow
view of complete motherboard - tidy so far
looming up the on off switch and speaker wires etc
see the round cable for the 2 DVD-ROM drives
even the flat cable(yellow) looks pretty tidy now
see the round cable for the floppy drive
the red cables are serial ATA cables. There are two drives in RAID format for extra speed
I took the wires out of these fan speed control plugs to get them in the looming
fitting the wiring to the case fan
the long snaky green loomed cable is the fan control from 2 knobs on the front panel
I cut and soldered and heatshrunk a few power supply double adapters so as to avoid extra wire length
I lengthened that power supply connector that ends up under the water pipes in the middle bottom of the picture
heatshrinking some power supply wires
finished case before video card and sound card go in
here is the mighty radeon 9800
the sound card is not an Audigy but it does the job
here is a close up of the Athlon cooler. ABS II is normally at about 40degC - It has a maximum of 85degC
another picture of the Radeon - fitted this time
case complete with the green flourescent tube running
green light turned off - 3 blue LED's from Dick Smith and Blue LED fan lighting the case
another view with the green light on
flash photo with green light running
last flash photo before cover goes on
